Vito L. Tanzi. Ph.D., MPH, JD.
Dr. Tanzi is the founder of Global Healthcare Management. His unique perspective comes from over 15 years in healthcare management in both academic and for-profit hospital settings, as well as group private practices. He holds a PhD in health economics from Johns Hopkins University; a doctorate in law (JD) from Concord University; and a MPH from Boston University. Dr. Tanzi is also an Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the American University of Beirut. He teaches courses in health economics and health accounting & finance. He is also the Financial Vice-President of the Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center. Prior to founding Global Healthcare Management LLC, he worked for the World Bank, Abt Associates, Covance, and George Washington University Medical Center. His primary interests are health system financing, health law, hospital accounting & financing, and pharmaco-economics. Dr. Tanzi is fluent in Italian, French and has working knowledge of Spanish and Arabic.
Zena G. Hammoud, MD
Dr. Hammoud is the President of Global Healthcare Management. She is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She holds an academic appointment at the George Washington University Medical Center and is the Medical Vice President of Hammoud Hospital University Medical Center in Saida, Lebanon. Dr. Hammoud is an expert in Infectious Disease Management and Control Systems. She is fluent in Arabic and German.
